Crossing Tuscany / Attraversando la Toscana

Ciao Karen, Ciao amiche!

After having brought you with me on the sea of the tuscan Maremma, now you can also accompany me on the way back to home.

Dopo avervi portato con me al mare nella Maremma toscana, adesso non posso che farmi accompagnare da voi nella strada di ritorno verso casa.

This road crosses the countryside of Siena, one of the most beautiful cities in Tuscany. Each year we choose this way to return from our seaside holiday: it is not the shortest nor the most upright, but it is the one we do love the most!

Questa strada attraversa la campagna di Siena, una delle più belle città toscane. Ogni anno scegliamo di fare questa per rientrare dalla nostra vacanza al mare: non è la più corta e nemmeno la più dritta, ma per noi è la più bella!

And then, including a stop to drink at a fountain, the usual place where we stop for a sandwich with anchovies and pesto, a photo here, another there, the journey can take up to 4 hours. While on the way down, when taking the shortest route with the desire to start the holiday quickly, it takes less than half that amount of time!

E quindi, tra una sosta per bere ad una fontanella, il solito posto dove ci fermiamo per il panino con le alici al pesto, una foto qua, un'altra là, il viaggio può durare anche 4 ore, mentre all'andata, sulla la strada più breve e con la voglia di iniziare la vacanza, ne impieghiamo meno della metà !

And so we go slowly, under a glaring sun, through the beautiful scenery, old charming villages and fields, sunflower fields, harvested fields to no end .....

E così andiamo senza fretta, sotto un sole abbagliante, attraverso i più bei paesaggi, antichi paesini , e campi, campi di girasoli, campi mietuti a non finire.....

So, this is for me is the image of Tuscany summer .

Ecco, questa è per me l'immagine dell'estate Toscana.
